Daniel 'Dani' Sotres Castañeda (born 21 May 1993) is a Spanish footballer who plays for Racing de Santander as a goalkeeper.
==Football career==
Sotres was born in Santiago de Cudeyo, Cantabria. A product of local Racing de Santander's youth ranks he made his debut for the first team on 9 April 2012 (one month shy of his 19th birthday), coming off the bench to replace injured Mario Fernández in a 0–3 La Liga away loss against Málaga CF;〔(Malaga breeze to win ); ESPN Soccernet, 9 April 2012〕〔(«Salté al césped y me olvidé de todo» («I just took the pitch and forgot about everything») ); El Diario Montañés, 11 April 2012 〕 three days later he was handed his first start, but his team against lost by the same scoreline, at home to RCD Mallorca,〔(Racing rout secures Mallorca's survival ); ESPN Soccernet, 12 April 2012〕 being eventually relegated at the season's end.
